Cory Whitely Receives the Mowat Award

Cory Whitely, a Master's of Sustainable Environmental Management student in my lab was selected to receive the Farley Mowat Award. Cory's project focused on bringing equity and inclusion into alternative food systems movements. He prepared a guidance document for the North American Food Systems Network (NAFSN), based on extensive background research and interviews with food systems practitioners. Hear Cory lead a NAFSN "Good Food Webinar" on his project here.

The Mowat Award is named in honour of the late Canadian author, Farley Mowat, whose novels describing Canada's northern peoples and wildlife received international popular and critical acclaim.
